Jokowi Arrives In Labuan Bajo NTT, BMKG Expects Sunny Weather All Day

NTT - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at 09.52 WITA, Thursday 21 July.

The Indonesian presidential plane carrying Jokowi and his entourage landed at Komodo Labuan Bajo International Airport.

During the working visit to Labuan Bajo, President Jokowi will follow several agendas.

On the first day in Labuan Bajo, Jokowi is scheduled to inaugurate the expansion of Komodo Labuan Bajo International Airport while reviewing airport infrastructure and MSMEs.

After inaugurating the airport expansion, Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana and their entourage will move by car to Labuan Bajo Harbor Marina Pier.

In the schedule, based on the Antara report, the President will go to Rinca Island for a review and inauguration of the arrangement of the Rinca Island area, Komodo National Park.

On this first day, the President will attend the inauguration of the Waterfront City Labuan Bajo in the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Marina and the Warloka waste processing system.

The inauguration ceremony was filled with performing arts festivals. This activity will be followed by the President after a visit to Rinca Island.

Furthermore, on the second day, Friday, July 22, the President and First Lady are scheduled to monitor tourism residential facilities and the location of the development of tourism area projects.

After that, the President will inaugurate the Wae Mese Labuan Bajo SPAM. The President and First Lady will return to Jakarta at noon.

President Jokowi's arrival to Labuan Bajo is not the first time.

The President's last visit to Labuan Bajo was on October 14, 2021, to inaugurate the merger of Pelindo I, II, III, and IV as well as the Bajo Port Wae Kelambu Multipurpose Terminal.

During Jokowi's visit this time, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of the Komodo Meteorological Station forecasts sunny cloudy weather conditions in Labuan Bajo.

"Conditions in Labuan Bajo today are generally cloudy to sunny with the wind blowing from the east, the speed is 8-30 km/hour, the air temperature is around 22-32 degrees Celsius," said Head of the Komodo Meteorological Station Sti Nenotek in Labuan Bajo, Thursday. July 21.
