Central Java To Host The 2022 Athletics National Championships, Ganjar: It's Interesting After So Many Years In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo welcomed the Executive Board of the All-Indonesia Athletics Association (PB PASI) who had chosen Central Java as the host for the 2022 Athletics National Championships.

Ganjar Pranowo said that the determination of Central Java as the venue for the 2022 Athletics National Championships was an interesting thing. Moreover, it is known that the National Athletics Championships have not been held for almost two years.

In addition, the National Athletics Championships are also always held in Jakarta, and recently moved to Central Java.

"This is interesting because it has not been held for almost two years and I thank PASI because after so many years it has always been held in Jakarta and today came out and Semarang was chosen." Ganjar Pranowo said in the provincial government's official website, Wednesday, July 20.

"So yesterday, friends from SoINA held an event, today Popda (finished), tomorrow PASI will make this national championship, in my opinion, this sport will revive," continued the governor.

Ganjar also hopes that the participants of the 2022 Athletics National Championship will be enthusiastic when competing.

"Hopefully all will be inspired so that this event will remind or wake up those who were unable to compete yesterday, today will be enthusiastic about competing again," concluded Ganjar in his statement.
