Calls KPK Wrong Address, TV Presenter Brigita Purnawati Claims Not To Receive Witness Summons

JAKARTA - Brigita Purnawati Manohara claims she has not received a summons as a witness sent by investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The television presenter admitted that he no longer lives at the address to which the letter was sent.

"I stated that I did not receive the letter because since 2012 I have lived in Jakarta," said Brigita in a written statement to reporters, Tuesday, July 19.

A summons was also sent by KPK investigators to Surabaya, East Java. "My residential address has been moved to Jakarta since 2021," said Brigita.

Brigita explained that the house to which the KPK investigators sent a summons was now rented out. The tenant also did not provide any information.

"The person concerned (the tenant, ed) only explained that he received a letter when he complained about my sister after news circulated in the media that I was absent (from the KPK's call, ed)," he said.

Brigita confirmed that she would be present at the summons on July 25. He will support the KPK's efforts to investigate the alleged bribery and gratification that ensnared the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak.

Brigita admitted that she did not know why she was called as a witness in this case. However, he emphasized that this summons had nothing to do with his status as a legislative candidate (candidate) in 2018-2019.

"I will provide information to investigators so that they do not create assumptions that might interfere with the institution where I work and the organization that places me as an administrator in it," he said.

The KPK summoned Brigita on Friday, July 15, regarding the alleged bribery and gratification that ensnared Ricky Ham Pagawak. However, he was absent or absent without any information.
