COVID-19 Update As Of July 19: 5,085 New Positive Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 127,033 specimens were examined with the results of 5,085 people being confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,143,431 and active cases have increased by 2,483," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, July 19.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,596 cases, bringing the total to 5,955,577 recovered people. Then, there were 6 positive confirmed cases and a total of 156,865 people.

Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 2,485 cases. This brings the total to 1,298,339 cases.

Followed by West Java with 971 new cases. Then, Banten with the addition of 649 cases per day, and East Java with 344 cases.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today is in DKI Jakarta with the addition of 1,400 recovered cases.

Banten Province also recorded a fairly large number of recoveries. Around 423 people have recovered from COVID-19.

Then West Java with a cure rate of 339 cases and East Java with an additional 225 cases recovered.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens to date has reached 102,320,536.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people for today is 5.80 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 6,355 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,994,141 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,613,168 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 53,319,158 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
