Johar Baru Residents Ask For Clarification Of Anies' Subordinates, Say That Tanah Tinggi Residents Are Flocking To Change Their ID Cards, Even Though They Are Not

JAKARTA - In the aftermath of the rejection of the DKI Jakarta Governor's policy regarding the change of street names, a number of residents of Tanah Tinggi 1, Gang 5, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta held a demonstration. The action is a form of public protest against government policies.

According to Anggi (49), one of the housewives of the affected residents, until now she has strongly refused to change the name of the street. The reason is, the change in the name of the road does not involve the affected residents.

"We housewives object to it, we have never involved residents, but Hamid Arief's new street sign has been installed in our alley," regretted Anggi during a protest action on Tuesday, July 19.

Anggi also said that he personally objected to the statement from the Head of the DKI Jakarta Population and Civil Registry (Dukcapil) Office, Budi Awaluddin.

The reason is, the Head of Dukcapil District issued a statement that Tanah Tinggi residents flocked to take care of population administration.

"In one of the media it was mentioned that we said that they had changed their ID cards and family cards in droves. We are still refusing to change the name of the street," he said.

In addition, Rahmad also made a similar complaint. According to Rahmad, he refused to change the name of the street.

The reasons for the residents who until now have insisted on refusing are for various reasons that are considered detrimental to the residents.

"We are tired of taking care of documents and we have a lot of work to do. If we change the BPJS, BPN, Samsat letters, our time is wasted," he said.

In addition, Rahmad asked for clarification on the statement from the Head of Dukcapil DKI Jakarta which said that Tanah Tinggi residents were changing their ID cards and family cards. Even though no one flocked to change their KTP and KK.

"We just haven't received the new ID cards and family cards, but they have been said to be in droves. The point is that we also strongly reject the change in street names," he said.
