Hundreds Of Companies In Madura In Arrears Of BPJS Health Payments Of Up To IDR 70 Billion

PAMEKASAN - At least 414 companies in Madura Island, East Java are in arrears in payment of national health insurance protection contributions to the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS). BPJS Kesehatan Pamekasan Munaqib told the media in Pamekasan, Monday, July 18. The details are 111 companies in Bangkalan Regency, 137 companies in Pamekasan, 55 companies in Sampang and 111 companies in Sumenep Regency. The payment arrears for Bangkalan Regency are more than IDR 424 million, Pamekasan IDR 293 million more , Sampang Rp 160 million more and in Sumenep Rp 255 million more.

Munaqib explained that his party is now taking a persuasive approach to each company that is in arrears in paying the contributions. "We have reminded the company leadership to immediately pay off the arrears, because if the payment of contributions is slow, it has the potential to harm employees at the company," he said. The amount of arrears in payment of contributions at BPJS Kesehatan does not include arrears for independent participants.

"If the arrears of independent participants reach more than Rp. 70 billion," he said. It's just that, he continued, BPJS Kesehatan provides concessions through the Phased Payment Plan (REHAB) program in installments. he said.
