PALU - The Regent of Nduga, Papua, Wentius Imiangge gave condolences to the families of victims of the shooting of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua, each Rp400 million.

"This compensation must be used properly even though this value is not commensurate with the loss of a child for the family of the deceased," said Head of the Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP-PKK) Nduga Ance Marjun Moomin Gwinangge while attending the funeral of M. Ismaun, one of the victims of the KKB. , in Palu reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 18.

He explained that since being released by the Nduga Regency Government in Timika, all the victims who died had been returned to their respective villages.

M. Ismaun in Papua served as a driver for the family of the Nduga Regent. He usually escorts the regent and the head of the local TP-PKK to carry out government activities.

"We didn't expect this to happen. We share our condolences for the passing of the deceased," said Ance, who is also the wife of the Regent of Nduga.

Hidayat, a relative of M. Ismaun, said that from the information obtained, the deceased was involved in an argument with the Papuan KKB group.

"There were wounds on the hands of the deceased, such as wounds sustained by a sharp object, and according to reports, after being repelled by the attack, the deceased was shot in the right side of the chest," said Hidayat.

He said that the unfortunate incident occurred when Ismaun accompanied a number of religious leaders to take part in a series of activities in the region. However, in the middle of the trip the car driven by the victim was intercepted by the KKB group.

"We have received reports about eight victims in the incident," Hidayat added.

Ismaun's body arrived at Bandar Mutiara Sis Al-Jufri on Sunday evening at 17.00 WITA using a Lion Air flight number JT 854 and was immediately picked up by his family to be taken to the funeral home on Jalan Tanjung Angin, Palu.
