JAKARTA - The Tanjung Priok Police Chief, Kompol M Yamin, revealed the motive behind the robbery or robbery that caused the death of a boarding house occupant on Jalan Kebon Bawang, Tanjung Priok. Kompol Yamin said the two perpetrators were motivated by drugs and playing online slot gambling.

The victim's initials Y (29), a resident of Kuningan, West Java, who had just returned from his village. Meanwhile, the two perpetrators had the initials NS (17) and EW (18).

Yamin explained that NS was first arrested in the Koja area, North Jakarta, Tuesday, July 12. He was arrested along with evidence of sharp weapons such as machetes and motorbikes while in action.

"24 hours later. We detained the second perpetrator (EW) in Cibadak Village, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency," Yamin told reporters at the Tanjung Priok Police, Friday, July 15.

Joko added that the two perpetrators often committed the crime more than three times. In fact, he said that in three hours there were three places of burglary.

"Based on the results of the interrogation, he has often carried out similar activities. For that night alone, there were three places, at three points he carried out activities within an interval of three hours," said Joko.

"The motive was that they used the proceeds of the crime to consume methamphetamine and slot gambling, because the urine test result was positive for methamphetamine," he continued.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 365 paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.
