Processing Machine Not Ready, Bogor Regency Government Writes To Provincial Government Asking Lulut-Nambo TPPAS Not To Operate First

CIBINONG - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java asked the provincial government not to operate the Lulut-Nambo Final Disposal and Processing Site (TPPAS) first. The local government is worried that the location will become a giant trash can.

"From road access infrastructure to waste processing machines, we are not ready. So we will write to the governor so that TPPAS Nambo does not operate yet," said Secretary of the Bogor Regency Environmental Service (DLH), Endah Nurmayanti in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, Antara, Thursday, July 14th.

According to him, the unprepared waste processing machines have the potential to create large-scale piles of waste, because the TPPAS is also used to dispose of waste from several other areas.

He admitted that he immediately conveyed to Governor Ridwan Kamil through a letter that the TPPAS, located in Klapanunggal District, Bogor Regency, was not yet feasible to operate.

"The roads for transporting waste are also inadequate. Please see what the conditions are in the field. If you are forced to, it's the same as inviting them to dispose of garbage in Bogor Regency. Because there are Bogor, Tangerang and Depok cities that will also use the TPPAS," he explained.

Endah said that the Bogor Regency Government also objected to being required to pay a tipping fee of Rp. 125,000 per ton for disposing and processing waste at the Lulut-Nambo TPPAS.

"Initially, it was not regional. But only for Bogor Regency. But in the end it became regional and everything was built by the province. But right now the situation is not ready at all," said Endah.

Lulut-Nambo TPPAS is planned to operate 40 percent of the maximum capacity of 1,800 tons this year. However, Endah admitted that she did not know for sure when the provincial government would start operating the Lulut-Nambo TPPAS. (KR-MFS).
