Holding The PJU Electric Pole When It Rains, 10-year-old Boy Stretches His Life After Playing Soccer

TG, a witness and friend of an elementary school victim who died was electrocuted by a PJU electricity pole after playing soccer ball in the rain/IST

BOGOR – A 10-year-old boy with the initials SD died after being electrocuted by an electric street lighting pole (PJU) at the Blender Public Cemetery (TPU), Tanahsareal, Bogor City. A child with the initials SD was electrocuted after playing soccer in the parking lot of the TPU Blender.

"It happened at around 14:00 WIB, when the weather conditions were heavy rain. The victim was a boy, aged about 10 years. The victim died at the location, after being electrocuted at the PJU pole (public street lighting)," said the Head of the Tanah Sareal Police. AKP Surya at TPU Blender, Wednesday, July 13.

The incident occurred after SD and his friends had just finished playing football in the parking area of the TPU Blender. SD and his friends stopped playing football because of the rain conditions and intended to return to their respective homes.

"So he was playing soccer with him, his friends too, it kept on raining, we stopped. I said let's go home, let's all disperse. I and the others took a detour there, if he (SD) passed through the middle of here, when it was said that he was passing there, he was already holding the pole, and then he was electrocuted," said one elementary school colleague.

According to information, the victim's family did not want the SD's body to be autopsied. SD victims were buried immediately.
