Arrange Holidays In The Thousand Islands Only In The Hands Of A Mobile Phone Through The Pulo1000 Application

JAKARTA - People now no longer need to bother in arranging holiday accommodations to the Thousand Islands. The Thousand Islands Regency Government has developed a tourism support application, namely Pulo1000.

This application can be downloaded via the Play Store and App Store from their respective mobile phones. The Head of the Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-Department, Puji Astuti, revealed that this application makes it easier for tourists to get holiday facilities on the islands, which are located north of Jakarta.

"This application is one of the answers to the problem of tourists who find it difficult to get tourist facilities on the Thousand Islands," Puji said when met by VOI on Untung Jawa Island, Thousand Islands, Tuesday, July 12.

Using the pulo1000 application is quite easy. After downloading the app, travelers need to create an account before making a booking.

The accommodation facilities that can be ordered in this application are boat tickets, resorts and homestays, tour packages, MSME culinary products, tourist activities, transportation rentals, event info, and various services.

Puji said that currently there are more than 200 business actors who provide tourism services in the Pulo1000 application. Meanwhile, the use of this application has reached 50 thousand times.

Puji admitted that not all business actors have registered and joined the pulo1000 application service. Because, before the business product is included in the application, there is a verification process that needs to be done.

"Indeed, not all MSMEs have entered. Because, if you enter the application, there is indeed verification first by a tourism awareness group (pokdarwis). One of the requirements in verification is that you must have a business license," said Puji.

For information, the pulo1000 application was launched by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the Mandalika Experience Expo, at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

This launch coincided with the implementation of MotoGP in Mandalika. It is said that Pulo1000 is the only accommodation provider application developed at the district/city level in Indonesia.
