The Prosecutor's Office Names 2 Suspects Of Alleged Corruption In The Kapuas Kalteng KPU, One Of Them Is A Former Commissioner

KALTENG - The Kuala Kapuas District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) has named two suspects in the alleged corruption case at the General Election Commission (KPU) of Kapuas Regency.

The Head of the Kapuas District Attorney's Office, Arif Raharjo, said that both of them were suspects in the corruption case of grant funds from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for the 2020 Central Kalimantan Governor Election (Pilgub).

"We have conveyed the determination of the two suspects on Monday (11 July) and notification of the start of the investigation to those concerned, on behalf of the initials O and B," Arif told reporters in Kuala Kapuas, Central Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, July 12.

The determination of the suspect was conveyed by the Head of the Kapuas District Attorney's Office, Arif Raharjo, accompanied by the Head of Intelligence Amir Giri Muryawan, Head of Special Investigations Unit Kiki Indriawan, Head of the Pidum T Ludong, at a press release at the Kejari Jalan Ahmad Yani Kuala Kapuas.

Head of the Special Crimes Section (Kasi Pidsus) of the Kuala Kapuas Kejari, Kiki Indriawan, added that the suspect with the initials O was a former secretary of the Kapuas Regency KPU, while B was a commissioner of the Kapuas KPU for the 2018-2023 period.

"In the future, we will speed up the investigation process, so that the actions that will be taken in the future can hopefully solve this case and go to prosecution. The two suspects with the initials O and B have not been detained," he said.

Meanwhile, in LHPKKN Number: PE.03.03/SR/LHP-182/PW15/5/2022 dated June 3, 2022, concluded from the results of calculating state financial losses in cases of alleged corruption in the use of funds in the Election Stages for the Election of Governor and Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan sourced from the State Budget Fund for Fiscal Year 2020 at the Kapuas Regency KPU. The state loss is Rp.1,672,685,841.
