COVID-19 Update As Of July 12: 3.361 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 21.916

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 97.935 specimens were examined with the results of 3.361 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.116.347 people and active cases have increased by 21.916 to 21.916 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, July 12.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1.594 cases and a total of 1.284.474 cases. Followed by West Java with 728 new cases with a total of 1.117.557 cases. Banten has 393 new cases and a total of 300.455 cases. Then, East Java with 279 new cases and a total of 579.811 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 716 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 383 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 31 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 172 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 101.664.405.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 4.82 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,340 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201.767.158 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169.378.586. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 52.026.661. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
