TABANAN - The man with the initials DTS (29) who is still a student from Gresik Regency, East Java, was arrested by the Kediri Police, Tabanan Regency, Bali, for stealing a Canon DSLR camera.

The perpetrator was arrested while making a transaction to sell his stolen camera, on Monday (11/7) at around 22.00 WITA, on Jalan Raya Banjar Anyar, Kediri District, Tabanan, Bali.

The theft was carried out by the perpetrator at the victim's boarding house on Sunday, July 10 afternoon.

"With this incident, the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 5 million and reported it to the Kediri Police," he added.

The police investigated this case and got information that someone offered a camera with the same specifications as the stolen goods. The police also arrested the perpetrators, including securing the camera as evidence.

"For his actions, he is charged with Article 363 Paragraph 1 3E of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 7 years," he said.
