BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin Police have succeeded in dismantling a home-scale drug industry that can print 100 ecstasy pills per day with a turnover of tens of millions of rupiah per month.

During the raid, a team led by the Banjarmasin Narcotics Investigation Unit Head Commissioner Mars Suryo Kartiko found 61 ecstasy pills ready for distribution, consisting of 17 green ecstasy pills with the WB logo weighing 6.89 grams, 26 brown ecstasy pills weighing 10.70 grams, and 18 black ecstasy pills weighing 7.90 grams.
The police also confiscated a package of green powder with a net weight of 23.29 grams along with other raw materials and equipment for making ecstasy.
"There was 4.13 grams of crystal methamphetamine which the suspect also admitted to belonging to him," Sabana explained.
To the police, the suspect admitted to selling one ecstasy pill of Rp. 400 thousand with an order from a buyer in Banjarmasin and its surroundings.
"This business was run by the suspect for only about a month and he learned to make ecstasy from someone in Jakarta. The raw material supply was sent from Jakarta," said the police chief.
Sabana said that the suspect was classified as skilled because the ecstasy that was made actually contained narcotics, so that investigators could be charged with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
