Indonesia Takes Note Of 51.6 Million Residents Who Have Booster Vaccination

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health recorded that the total number of Indonesians who had received booster vaccines was 51.6 million or 51,644,027 people to be exact as of Friday, July 8, at 12.00 WIB.

This number has increased by 317,535 people compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, 169,277,279 people have received the second vaccination, an increase of 42,163 people.

Meanwhile, the number of people who received the first dose of vaccination increased by 88,539 people or a total of 201,738,589 people. The target for vaccination is 208,265,720 people.

Booster vaccination is known to be very useful in preventing the risk of severe symptoms and the risk of hospitalization for those who have been vaccinated.

Lung specialist from the Indonesian Lung Doctors Association (PDPI) Central Java Branch, Dr Indah Rahmawati, Sp.P said, taking advantage of the booster vaccination has been proven.

"Covid-19 vaccinations ranging from the first dose to the third or booster dose have been proven to provide optimal protection for the community in order to prevent the spread of symptoms and also reduce the risk of hospitalization," he said some time ago.
