School Exams At Bandar Lampung Women's Prison: 10 Prisoners Participate In Package A, 7 Package B, 16 Package C, 3 Supervisors

LAMPUNG - A total of 33 inmates at the Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas) Bandar Lampung took the school exam. The exam was held by LP officials in collaboration with the Nusa Indah Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM) Foundation.

"The school exam that we carry out is to provide non-formal education guidance to the inmates," said Head of the Guidance Section for Prisoners' Prisoners for Women, Rini Legitasari, in Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 6.

He continued, the end-of-semester exam activities for Package A were attended by 10 fostered residents, 7 inmates for Package B, and 16 inmates for Package C.

"Three people supervise the package exam activities for the inmates," he said.

He said that the package exam for inmates was based on the decision of the Directorate General of Corrections at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Number: PAS-42.PR.01.02 of 2016 concerning the standard of education service equality for the package A, package B, and package C programs.

The educational program for inmates and children also aims to develop their potential for religious spiritual strength, self-control, intelligence, noble character, skills for the community, nation and state.

"This activity without coercion from any party and the high enthusiasm of the inmates is a manifestation of the achievements of coaching at the Women's Prison," he said.

"It is also hoped that the school education assistance from the Nusa Indah PKBM Foundation can provide a proper education and can open broad insights for the inmates as provisions for returning to the community," he continued.
