Applicants For Pre-employment Cards Have Reached 42 Million People

JAKARTA - The number of candidates for the Pre-Employment Card program has surpassed 42 million people as of early November 2020. The total number of applicants has been summarized since the first batch opened on 11 April. The participants came from all provinces in Indonesia.

The head of the Job Creation Committee Executive Team, Rudy Salahuddin, said that since the Worker Card program was present, the response and enthusiasm of the community to participate in this program was very high.

The number of applicants for this Pre-Employment Card is almost eight times higher than the quota for participants targeted by the government. Based on the design, the government only netted 5.6 million participants with an aid value of IDR 20 trillion.

"Until now, the Pre-Work Card program has netted more than 42 million registrants and has also been attended by all people from 514 districts / cities throughout Indonesia. So there is nothing left of the districts / cities in Indonesia," he said, in a virtual discussion. , Wednesday, November 3.

Initially, registration for the Pre-Employment Card was only opened up to batch 10. However, in its implementation, there were recipients who had to withdraw their membership. So that the empty quota is allocated for an additional wave, namely wave 11, which was opened on Monday, November 2 with a quota of 400 thousand people. For your information, currently the 11th wave has not been closed.

This participation is revoked because participants did not purchase their first training within 30 days after they were declared eligible as recipients of the Pre-employment Card.

To accommodate the high interest of the community, Rudy guaranteed that the government would reopen the Pre-Work Card program in 2021. On the same occasion, the Executive Director of Implementing Management (PMO) for the Prakerja Card, Denni Puspa Purbasari, said that the recipients of the program in the coming year would not be the same as this year.

Furthermore, Denni said, recipients of the Pre-Work Card program only had one chance. This means that if this year you have received the benefits of the Pre-employment Card program, next year you will not be able to receive it again.

"Participants who have received assistance this year will not receive it again next year. We prioritize the principle of equity," he said.

Even so, Denni has not explained in detail the quota for beneficiaries of the assistance program for 2021. However, his party ensures that the concept of the 2021 Pre-Work Card will still be the same as 2020.
