Before Being Examined, Refly Harun Mentioned The Making Of Gus Nur's Request Video

JAKARTA - Constitutional Law Expert, Refly Harun, fulfilled the summons of investigators from the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit to be examined as a witness in the case of alleged hate speech against the suspect Sugi Nur Rahardja alias Gus Nur.

Before undergoing examination, Refli conveyed that the creation of the video content began with an invitation from Gus Nur. Not his personal initiative.

"I was called on October 12 by Gus Nur to invite collaboration," Refly told reporters, Tuesday, October 3.

Received the offer, Refly agreed. The reason is because there are enough followers of Gus Nur's YouTube channel and himself. Moreover, collaboration between YouTubers is considered a common thing.

"Why is that? Yes, I think just apple to apple because he has more than 500 thousand subscribers, I am also 600 thousand, so in the world of ordinary mating, collaboration and the interview took place," he explained.

But when asked about himself deliberately provoking Gus Nur with tricky questions, Refly denied him. Because, all the questions raised in the video content are just ordinary questions without any intention.

"Yes, there's nothing wrong, where's the fault because when other people ask, he will answer the same thing. If his name (question) is fishing, he is trapped, that's fishing," he said.

In fact, the video does not only discuss the points that are currently at issue. Several things are also discussed in the video.

"If we look at the interview, it is not only talking about the questionable issues, but talking about a lot of things and the method is that he asks first and then I ask," he said.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri investigators detained Sugi Nur Rahardja alias Gus Nur for the alleged spread of hate speech. The detention was carried out after Gus Nur was named a suspect.

Gus Nur was named a suspect in a case of spreading hate speech shortly after being arrested at his residence in Pakis District, Malang, East Java, on October 24.

Gus Nur was reported by the Head of the Cirebon Branch of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Management Azis Hakim to the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The report numbered LP / B / 0596 / X / 2020 / Bareskrim dated 21 October 2020.

The reporting was because Gus Nur was thought to be spreading information that caused hatred or enmity regarding Nahdlatul Ulama through a statement he uploaded on the MUNJIAT Channel's Youtube account on October 16, 2020.

In reporting, Gus Nur allegedly violated Article 27 paragraph (3) and Article 28 paragraph (2) of Law Number (UU) 19/2016 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
