15 Crew Of KM Setia Makmur 06 Ship Reported Missing In Arafura Sea

JAKARTA - As many as 15 of the 25 crew members of the KM Setia Makmur 06 ship were reported missing in the Arafura Sea. A joint SAR team has been deployed to search for the missing victims.

There were three fishing boats closest to the incident point, namely KM Sinar Mas 01, KM Jaya Sejahtera and KM Pulau Muara, which were reported to have started their livelihoods.

It was reported that 10 crew members were found safe around the scene and at that time were evacuated to KM Sinar Mas 01.

KRI Teluk Weda which is in Bintuni Bay and KRI Teluk Weda have been deployed to the scene to carry out search operations, explained Supriyanto Ridwan who was contacted from Jayapura.

The names of the crew members who survived were Rusli, Dedi Riyanto, Subekhi, Agus Priyono, Diroh, Dian Andreansyah, Mubarok, Jaeni, Ali, Sodikin and Hanif Setiawan.
