Stealing A Truck, Expedition Driver Arrested By Police

SERANG - DM (47), a resident of Budi Mulya Village, Cikupa District, Tangerang Regency was arrested by the Carenang Police Sector Reskim Team after embezzling a Mitsubishi truck number A 9003 ZY belonging to HM (47) a resident of Mandaya Village, Carenang District, Serang Regency.

The expedition driver was arrested at his hiding place in Sukarame Village, Pacet District, West Bandung Regency.

Serang Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police Yudha Satria explained that the victim initially asked the suspect to sell his Mitsubishi truck for IDR 190 million.

"Understanding that someone will buy it, the suspect asked the victim for permission to bring the truck. Because the suspect often rents the car, the victim believed and handed over the car," explained Yudha, Wednesday, June 29.

After waiting for the news, the victim did not receive the news of the car purchase, and even the suspect and the truck were not identified. The victim tried to find him but couldn't find him.

"Because the suspect and his vehicle were never found, the victim finally reported it to the Carenang Police, Thursday (June 2)," he said.

Armed with this, the officers carried out an investigation and succeeded in arresting the suspect at his hiding place in the West Bandung area on Tuesday, June 28, at around 22.00 WIB.

From the results of the examination, the suspect admitted that he had sold the victim's truck to residents in the Lampung area.

"From the buyer's confession, the truck has been sold for IDR 175 million. But because there is no Ownership Certificate, the buyer only handed over IDR 140 million, the rest will be paid after the Ownership Certificate is received," he said.

As a result of these actions, the suspect was charged with Article 378 or 372 of the Criminal Code concerning fraud and embezzlement with a penalty of 4 years in prison.
