SEMARANG - Nine official houses belonging to the Central Java Regional Police which have been inhabited by non-Polri residents for years, will be executed by the Semarang district court, tomorrow, Wednesday, June 29.

The Central Java Police as the applicant, won the lawsuit over the ownership of the 9 official houses located on Jalan Erlangga Tengah IV and Erlangga Tengah II, Semarang City. The effort ran for four years at the court level.

The Head of Legal Division (Kabidkum) of the Central Java Police, Kombes Imran Amir, said that the Central Java Police's efforts regarding the ownership status of the nine police official houses had moved at the Supreme Court level.

"We have filed a lawsuit for four years in court, then we have signed up to the Supreme Court. Yesterday, the Semarang District Court sent a letter to the Central Java Police asking for assistance in securing executions in nine police dormitories," said Kombes Imran Amir, in a written statement, Tuesday, June 27.

In an effort to vacate the nine dormitories, he continued, the Central Java Police have taken persuasive actions by maintaining friendship and coordinating with residents of the official residence.

“We have met directly with nine residents of the house to explain about the decision of the Supreme Court. The residents can understand and have left the house, so there are no more residents who are still occupying it," he said.

Kombes Imran said the execution was carried out because the residents of the dormitory on Erlangga Street were not active members of the Central Java Police. He admitted that he did not encounter any obstacles in the legal process in court.

"There are no obstacles in the legal process, according to the procedure we have followed. So we have a case, we follow the proceedings from the court to the Supreme Court. After there is a new decision, we will carry out the execution, previously coordinating with the occupants of the house," he said.

The Central Java Police, said Kombes Imran, have made efforts to provide assistance in transporting goods for residents of official residences and have prepared temporary residences.

“The Central Java Police took a persuasive and heart-to-heart approach. We are preparing official trucks to help transport goods and provide temporary housing for those who do not have a home," he added.

It was revealed that the residents were voluntarily willing to vacate and on average had their own private house.

"We have tried to offer temporary accommodation, but they refused because they have a private house," he said.

The plan, said Kombes Imran, is that the official residence of Central Erlangga will be used for members of the Central Java Police who do not yet own a house. He said the status of the official house was the official residence of the members and not the official house.

"Later on, it is planned that the houses will be designated for the benefit of members, especially now that many do not yet live in dormitories or rumdins, so they rent outside," he explained.
