The Story Of Sutejo Carrying His Mother's Body On A Motorbike In Boyolali

BOYOLALI - A motorcyclist carrying a body covered with a batik cloth stirred up residents of Boyolali Regency, Central Java.

In fact, videos and photos of motorcyclists with the back of the motorbike have gone viral on social media.

From the information obtained, a driver named Sutejo, 50, was recorded crossing one of the roads in Simo District, Boyolali.

One of Sutejo's older brothers, Sri Suyamti, confirmed that his younger brother brought the body which turned out to be his mother, Ginem Suharti, 80 years old. Suyamti and Sutejo themselves live close together in one yard in Banyudono District, Boyolali. When the mother passed away due to an old illness, Suyamti was still at work.

"At half past nine I was informed by my brother-in-law (Sutejo's wife) that my mother died. He also told me that my younger brother took my mother to Simo (mother's hometown) on a motorcycle. I was very shocked, how could I have the heart," he said. .

According to Suyamti, his younger brother plans to bury his mother's body by himself. But uncle Sutejo came.

"I immediately 'followed' Simo, but the mother's body was not at home. It turned out that it was already in the grave, I wanted to bury it myself, even though it had not been purified," he said.

Knowing this, the family persuaded Sutejo to first purify his parents' bodies according to religious teachings.

Regarding his younger sibling's attitude, Suyamti admitted that so far Sutejo tends to be closed. "My brother is quiet, rarely socializes with neighbors. He is a closed person, never leaves (the house)," he said.
