Frequent Discussions, BRIN Researcher Siti Zuhro Admits Airlangga's 'greatness', Mastering Many Things, Not Only The Economy

JAKARTA - The Principal Researcher of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Siti Zuhro acknowledged the figure of the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga as a smart figure. He admitted that he had often discussed with the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs about many things.

"I often have discussions with Pak Airlangga, it is very clear that he has mastered many problems, not only the economy," said Zuhro during a talk show entitled 'Reading the Directions of the United Indonesia Coalition' held by the Communication and Information Institute (LKI) in Kopi Lima Detik, Kebayoran Baru. , South Jakarta, Antara, Monday, 27 June.

Zuhro also praised the Ketum Golkar as a person who was friendly to anyone. According to his experience, in every discussion, Airlangga never shows an arrogant or indifferent attitude towards his interlocutor.

"Besides being smart, Pak Airlangga is also very friendly, doesn't look up," said Siti Zuhro.

With such a figure, according to him, it will not be surprising if later the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) will carry Airlangga as a presidential candidate for 2024.

Although, the matter of carrying a presidential candidate still depends on the internal dynamics of KIB itself. "I would not be surprised if later KIB decided Pak Airlangga Hartarto as a presidential candidate in 2024," he said.

Zuhro also suggested that KIB should not focus on survey results to carry presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. Moreover, this BRIN political researcher admits that he is a person who does not believe in the results of survey institutions regarding the electability and popularity of figures.

KIB is advised to carefully consider the choice of figures who will be carried as presidential and vice presidential candidates by prioritizing competence and capability.

“KIB should carefully consider the candidate for leader who has qualifications. It's not just focused on survey results about popularity, there are no guarantees regarding the competence and capabilities of candidates," said Siti Zuhro.

Moreover, KIB was initiated by Golkar, PPP, and PAN to erode the polarization that has occurred in society since the 2014 presidential election. This mission is a noble mission because it seeks to reunite Indonesian people in the midst of different political choices.
