Alhamdulillah, 718 Livestock In Nagan Raya Aceh Recovered From PMK Ahead Of Iduladha 2022

JAKARTA - The Nagan Raya Regency Government, Aceh Province, recorded that 718 cattle and buffalo in its territory recovered from foot and mouth disease (PMK). The healing took place ahead of the celebration of the Eid al-Adha sacrifice on July 9.

"Alhamdulillah, as many as 718 cattle and buffalo have recovered, of the total infected cattle as many as 980," said Head of Livestock at the Agriculture and Livestock Service Office of Nagan Raya Regency, Safridhal, in Nagan Raya, quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 26.

He explained that the recovery of the livestock was after his party was intense in injecting vitamins and giving medicines to the livestock of the community who were infected with FMD.

In addition, his party also provides herbal medicine to sick cattle, in the hope that cattle previously infected with FMD will recover soon.

Drh Safridhal also added that currently the number of buffalo and cattle belonging to farmers in Nagan Raya who are still sick is recorded at 257 and until now, animal health workers are still receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the number of cattle infected with FMD that had to be forcibly slaughtered in Nagan Raya, he said, reached three and two who died from infection with FMD.

In order to prevent the spread of FMD for the community's livestock, his party also intensively conducts outreach to the community so as not to release livestock from the cage and immediately informs officers if there are livestock that are sick or have symptoms of FMD.
