Prison Does Not Deter, Solok City Government Hopes That The Drug Addicts Rehabilitation Center

SUMBAR - The Solok City Government (Pemkot) hopes that the construction of a rehabilitation center for victims of drug abuse will be realized.

Solok Mayor Zul Elfian said the hall could be utilized by the Compulsory Reporting Recipient Agency (IPWL) in Solok.

"It is hoped that this rehabilitation service will be realized as soon as possible because we have the principle that good work must be realized immediately as an effort to save the nation's children, especially in Solok City," Zul said in Solok, quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 26.

In addition, one of the efforts made by the Solok City Government is to visit the Office of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in East Jakarta as a form of the local government's seriousness in saving the community from drug abuse.

The Mayor who was accompanied by the relevant OPD leadership was received directly by the Head of the Publication and Social Media Division of the BNN RI, Kombespol Riki Yanuarfi.

The arrival of the Mayor of Solok as a follow-up to the plan to establish a rehabilitation service for victims of drug abuse with Kajari and the Solok Regency BNN.

"The city of Solok, which is located in a cross-sectional area, is an easy target for these illicit goods dealers to distribute," he said.

In addition, this condition can also be seen from the number of cases that lead to law. This concern is the motivation of the local government together with local law enforcement officials.

"Because legal efforts and prisons from the evaluation results so far have not become positive lessons, there are more and more when after undergoing a period," he said.

The Head of the Publication and Social Media Section of the BNN RI, Kombespol Riki Yanuarfi welcomed the plan of the Solok City Government and appreciated and thanked the City of Solok's desire to be able to realize a rehabilitation service unit in the City of Solok.

Riki immediately recommended the Mayor of Solok and his entourage to see firsthand one of the largest rehabilitation service locations owned by BNN in Lido.

On the recommendation of the Head of the Publication and Social Media Section of the National Narcotics Agency, Kombespol Riki, Eali of Solok City also visited the Rehabilitation Center for BNN RI, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Solok City Government plans to build a rehabilitation center in Solok City. This place will later be designated for residents of Solok and its surroundings victims of drug abuse who need rehabilitation.

"Therefore, we went to the BNN Rehabilitation Center to find out and learn how to build a drug rehabilitation center," he said.

The Solok City Government has prepared a location plan that is deemed appropriate to be used as a rehabilitation service location with an area of more or less one hectare, which is supported by the Solok District Attorney and the Solok Regency BNN.

"This is one of the efforts to save the country in the future which is the hope of us now. So, I think this good intention, I think, why should it be slowed down," said Zul Elfian.

Head of Balai Yuki in the meeting said that Solok City is the fourth area in Indonesia that has the desire and plan to establish a rehabilitation center.

"Alhamdulillah, Solok City is the fourth area that plans to establish a rehabilitation center. This is also based on the AGO's commitment to instructing the Attorney General's Office to establish a rehabilitation center in its area," he said.
