JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) to list the special edition folding bikes KSP received as state property.

This was conveyed, after this institution received a clarification and explanation regarding the folding bicycle that was handed over by former presenter Daniel Mananta to the KSP.

"The KPK reminds us that the provision of bicycles is a grant to agencies that must be registered as State Property and afterwards can be used for institutional interests in carrying out tasks that are beneficial to society," said Acting spokesman for KPK Prevention Ipi Maryati, as quoted by VOI from his written statement Friday, October 30th.

He said that giving to an institution was not a gratification so it was not obligatory to be reported. However, as a form of transparency the KPK still requests that these folding bikes be recorded and published immediately.

"The KPK asks institutions that receive gifts, donations, grants, or philanthropy from the community to administer and publish their receipts and benefits. This is in line with PMK Number 99 of 2017 concerning Administration of Grant Management," he said.

Ipi explained that gratification has been interpreted broadly as a gift to civil servants or state officials who could be illegal.

Because the gift could be related to the position but contrary to the duties and obligations of civil servants and state officials.

Thus, to prevent the occurrence of a criminal act, the gratification recipient must report it within 30 working days.

"On the other hand, if they do not report and are proven to have accepted, then the criminal sanctions as stipulated in Article 12 B of Law No. 20 of 2001 on Corruption Eradication, can be applied," he said.

Previously, the Chief of Presidential Staff (KSP) Moeldoko clarified the issue of giving bicycles from Daniel Mananta, CEO of Damn! I Love Indonesia and the CEO of PT Roda Maju Bahagia, Hendra who was previously mentioned for President Joko Widodo.

Moeldoko said that the 15 folding bikes that were delivered directly to the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) were not intended for Jokowi or Moeldoko himself.

"Mas Daniel and Hendra came to the KSP to hand over the bicycles to the KSP. Not at all to Pak Jokowi," said Moeldoko in a virtual press conference, Wednesday, October 28.

It is known, Daniel Mananta, CEO of Damn! I Love Indonesia and the CEO of PT Roda Maju, Bahagia Hendra, gave a gift in the form of an ecosmo 10 Sp Damn folding bicycle. This bicycle was specially made to commemorate the 92nd Youth Pledge on October 28.

In the KSP press release, it was stated that this former music tv presenter gave a special edition folding bicycle of the Youth Pledge to President Joko Widodo through the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko.

In addition, it was explained that this bicycle is one hundred percent domestically made in collaboration with PT Roda Maju Bahagia.
