In Front Of Her Cadres During The PDIP National Working Meeting, Megawati: I Got A New Nickname 'The Beauty'

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri, has called herself a new nickname, 'beautiful' in front of her cadres.

This was conveyed during his closing speech at the PDIP II National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Thursday, June 23.

Megawati admitted that she got the nickname when she took a photo with the media crew. A number of media crews did call her 'beautiful'.

"Now I have the nickname Beauty," said Megawati with a laugh, Thursday, June 23.

The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia then advised the media crew, especially women, to be beautiful like her.

"The same thing (journalists, ed) I said, yes, you also have to imitate me, so that you will be more beautiful," he said.

Megawati expressed her gratitude for the presence of the media crew during the National Working Meeting agenda. He said, from media reports, the PDIP National Working Meeting received high attention from the public.

"The high level of public attention to the National Working Meeting shows how much hope is placed on our party, the PDI-P," he said.

Megawati was embarrassed when President Joko Widodo praised her for being beautiful and charismatic.

This compliment was conveyed by Jokowi when opening the second PDIP National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in 2021 at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 21 yesterday.

"It's true what Mrs. Mega said, she is indeed today since I met her this morning, indeed, her aura is very beautiful," said Jokowi.

Hearing the compliment, Megawati smiled as she covered her mouth. Furthermore, Jokowi praised Megawati for still looking charismatic even though she is already 75 years old.

"I say, her aura is real. Even though she is old, her aura of beauty never fades," said Jokowi.

The praise from Jokowi was in response to Megawati's joke when delivering the opening speech at the PDIP National Working Meeting.

At that time, Megawati said, she inherited a charming face from her parents, namely the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno and Fatmawati.

"I always say, do you want to know what kind of father my father is? He is handsome and charismatic, now he is with me. I am beautiful and charismatic," he added, to a boisterous applause from his cadres.
