DKI Still Must Pay Additional IDR 90.7 Billion Formula E Commitment Fee, Deputy Governor Riza Admits He Just Knows

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he just found out that DKI still has to pay an additional fee for the commitment fee payment of Formula E of Rp90.7 billion.

So far, the DKI Provincial Government has claimed that the commitment fee for Formula E to be paid for the implementation of 2022, 2023 and 2024 is IDR 560 billion. This fee has been paid to Formula E Operation in 2019 and 2020 through the APBD.

It turned out that, after the results of re-negotiation after the postponement of the Formula E event, it was only revealed that the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) had to add Rp. 90.7 billion to cover the lack of commitment fee costs.

"I just received the information," said Riza at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, June 20.

This former member of the DPR RI also threw this problem at Jakpro as the BUMD that organizes Formula E. Because Jakpro is considered to have more understanding about the additional costs.

"If there is an increase in the commitment fee, please ask Jakpro who understands and understands what is the cause," he said.

As is known, in the BPK examination report (LHP) on the 2021 DKI Jakarta Provincial Government financial statements, it was revealed that the commitment fee according to the results of the PT Jakpro renegotiation was not IDR 560 billion.

The BPK LHP revealed that the actual commitment fee was around Rp653 billion or £36 million. This was found by BPK in the revised feasibility study document which was compiled by Jakpro.

In the document, it is stated that there is still a lack of commitment fee payments of IDR 90.7 billion or the equivalent of 5 million pounds. The agreement is that PT Jakpro will pay for the shortfall from company funds. This is different from the commitment fee that has been paid in the amount of IDR 560 billion through the APBD.
