The Perpetrator At Gunpoint In Senopati, South Jakarta, Known As Kombes S, Always Carries A Baretta Type Of Soft Gun With Him

JAKARTA - The perpetrators of holding guns at the Vol Bottle cafe, Senopati, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta are said to be members of the police with the rank of Police Commissioner (Kombes). Responding to this, the South Jakarta Meto Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto, emphasized that the confession of suspect IR (23) as a police officer was not true.

Budhi confirmed that the perpetrator was a civilian who confessed to his friends.

"We need to emphasize here, it was circulated that IR claimed to be a member of the Police with the rank of Kombes. We convey that it is not true that the person concerned is not Polri and is not of the rank of Kombes," Budhi told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, June 12.

Budhi said that the suspect was known by his friends as Kombes S.

"So the person concerned is indeed a civilian. But he is known or his friends call the person concerned by the name of Kombes S," he continued.

Departing from that confession, continued Budhi, IR always carries an Air Soft Gun with an excuse to protect himself. However, his party is still investigating how the suspect got the weapon.

"This is still being investigated for the origins and users of this type of air softgun. (The motive) is because so far he has claimed to be a member of the National Police with the rank of Kombes, so the person concerned carries weapons such as firearms," he concluded.

For his actions, the suspect IR was charged with the Emergency Law with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for possession of a weapon. Meanwhile, AAR was charged with Article 351 with a penalty of 2 years and 8 months.
