Reshuffle Issue, PPP Does Not Matter If PAN Gets Ministerial Allocation

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PPP DPP Achmad Baidowi admitted that he had heard the news of the cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, June 15 tomorrow.

However, regarding the information that President Joko Widodo will collect on the general chairmen at the State Palace tonight, Baidowi cannot confirm that this is related to the issue of a cabinet reshuffle.

According to him, general chairmen of parties supporting the government often meet with President Jokowi not only at the palace but in other forums. Including the General Chairman of PPP, Suharso Monoarfa.

"That information is possible, but we will see for sure whether it (reshuffle) occurs or not. (Because) party leaders regularly meet with the president, not only at the palace but in other forums, including Pak Suharso, who frequently communicates with the president, moreover he is a minister. can directly communicate with the president," said Baidowi at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 14.

According to him, President Jokowi's summons of the general head of political parties is a normal right.

"For us, calling the party chairman is a common thing, it's normal," said the man who is familiarly called Awiek.

Questioning rumors that PAN will get a ministerial seat at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Awiek said, PPP is not a problem. Moreover, if later the position is filled by the General Chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan.

According to the secretary of the PPP faction in the DPR, this is the authority of President Joko Widodo.

"If there is no problem for PPP, he (Zulhas) becomes the minister in the ATR sector or whatever, it's President Jokowi's prerogative," explained Awiek.

Moreover, since joining the coalition, the PAN government has not yet received a seat in the cabinet. Regarding this, Awiek admitted that he did not know what political agreement the President and PAN had agreed on.

"And so far, PAN has entered the coalition, it may be seen that it has not yet received a 'cake share' in the cabinet. However, PAN could have a political deal with the president, we don't know," he said.

"PAN enters the government coalition, whether he gets it or not, we also don't know because not all politics can be seen with the naked eye," he continued.

Previously, Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid admitted to hearing information related to the entry of National Mandate Party cadres into the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

According to the information he received, PAN would get the position of Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

"Just listen to information, not A1," said Jazilul when asked for confirmation, Tuesday, June 14.

However, the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR was reluctant to reveal further about this information. Jazilul only asked the public to wait for President Jokowi to immediately announce his cabinet reshuffle.
