Predicting The June 15 Reshuffle, Observer: If One Country Already Knows It Usually Doesn't Happen

JAKARTA - It is reported that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will reshuffle his cabinet on Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022. It is said that the National Mandate Party (PAN) will get one deputy ministerial seat and a big name will step down. However, political observer from Paramadina University, Hendri Satrio, is not sure that the reshuffle will actually be carried out by the president. This is because Jokowi often cancels the reshuffle if the cabinet reshuffle date is leaked.

“June 15 reshuffle? Ah, in Pak Jokowi's era, usually if one country already knows, it won't happen," said Hendri Satrio, Tuesday, June 14. This, according to him, suggests that President Jokowi is an unpredictable figure. "Perhaps there is an impression that the president hard to predict," he said.

While questioning PAN, which is always rumored to be getting seats in the cabinet, Hendri suggested that the party chaired by Zulkifli Hasan not have high hopes. Moreover, the issue of ministerial allocations has echoed since it was announced to join the government coalition, but so far this has not happened. The founder of the KedaiKOPI survey institute, assessed that if Jokowi did not carry out the reshuffle, then PAN should be wise in looking at the future of the party.

“For example, if there is no reshuffle this week, then PAN is still hoping to get a minister. It's better to think about the future," he concluded.
