Addicted To Online Games, Project Workers In Denpasar Pawn Motorcycles Owned By His Wife's Employer

DENPASAR - A project worker named Khifaldo Apriliyanto (23) is desperate to pawn his wife's motorbike because he is addicted to playing online games. Motorcycles are sold via social media.

"A case of embezzlement of a motorbike. The motive is related to addiction to online games. So, to fulfill his need for the game, the perpetrator embezzled a motorcycle unit belonging to the employer's wife," said West Denpasar Police Chief Kompol I Made Hendra Agustina, Monday, June 13 .

The theft occurred on the evening of March 25 in Tegal Kerta Village, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City.

The wife of the perpetrator who worked as a household assistant at the victim's house was given a Varia motorbike to pick up the victim's child.

However, the motorbike that was entrusted to him was taken by the husband from the household assistant. The motorbike was sold for Rp. 2.4 million.

"Furthermore, the money is used for online game needs so that the money runs out," added Hendra.

Victims who know their motorbikes are being sold report to the West Denpasar Police. The perpetrator was arrested in Denpasar.

"This motorbike is a motorbike from the perpetrator's wife's employer which was entrusted to the wife (of the perpetrator) but by the perpetrator was sold through online media. The perpetrator is addicted to online games and is desperate for money. So the motorbike from his wife's employer is sold through online media," he said.
