Member Of DPRD Jeneponto South Sulawesi Stabbed When Breaking Up A Fight Over Motorcycle Exhaust

MAKASSAR - U (40), the perpetrator of the stabbing of the Jeneponto Regency DPRD, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) member Jusri surrendered to the police. U stabbed a member of the Jeneponto DPRD while breaking up a fight.

Jusri was stabbed on the head and back by U when he came to U's house with his younger brother, Saturday, October 24.

"He (the victim) had intervened at the scene of the crime. After stabbing the perpetrator, he immediately gave himself up to the Jeneponto Police Headquarters, "said Head of Public Relations of the Jeneponto Police, AKP Syahrul Regama to VOI, Sunday, October 25.

Based on the results of an interim investigation, the root of the problem occurred when Jusri's brother passed in front of the stabbing perpetrator's house using a motorbike that made an exhaust noise. The perpetrator of the stabbing also did the same thing when he passed in front of Brother Jusri's house.

"It is suspected that the perpetrator assaulted the victim as a result of being offended because the victim's brother (sister) passed in front of the perpetrator's house while gasping on a motorbike and then came to the perpetrator's house together with relatives and several people," said Syahrul.

A member of the Jeneponto DPRD, Jusri was initially treated at Lanto Dg Pasewang Hospital. But then he was referred to Awal Bros Hospital in Makassar.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the Jeneponto DPRD, Irmawati Zainuddin, said that the victim is currently still being treated. Jusri's condition gradually improved.

"Last night I left Awal Bros Hospital last night at 01.00 WITA. His condition is getting better and last night at 07.00 WITA head surgery," he said separately.
