JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan decided to extend the Transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) from October 26 to November 8. This was done as a precaution against a spike in COVID-19 cases.

Anie said, the extension of the Transitional PSBB was due to no significant increase in cases. However, if there is a significant increase in cases, the implementation of this Transitional PSBB can be stopped.

"This means that if there is an alarming level of transmission, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can stop all activities that have been opened during the PSBB Transition Period and re-implement the tightening," said Anies in an official statement, Jakarta, Sunday, October 25.
