JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) has signaled the figures for the presidential and vice presidential candidates that will be carried by the Red Ant Coalition in the 2024 presidential election.

This signal can be seen from the upload of the Deputy Chairperson of the PKB, Jazilul Fawaid, on his Instagram account @jazilulfawaid_real, Sunday, June 12. Jazilul was seen showing off pictures of the presidential and vice presidential candidates. There are two figures displayed, namely General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

Jazilul Fawaid said the upload was a sign that the Red Ant Coalition was exploring the pairing of the two in the upcoming elections. Previously, PKB deputy head Jazilul Fawaid also talked about the possibility that the General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin would be promoted by the Red Ant Coalition in the 2024 presidential election.

"We are not insistent (Cak Imin becomes a presidential candidate, ed). In PKB we are adamant, but if we are with other parties, we need to exchange ideas to find the best,” said Jazilul at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 9.

Jazilul said that PKB was completely solid in carrying Cak Imin forward in the 2024 presidential election contestation.
