Investigation Results Formed By The Governor Of Central Sulawesi: 6 Echelon II To Echelon 4 Officials Allegedly Involved In Selling And Buying Positions

PALU - The investigation team formed by the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government revealed that as many as six local officials were proven to be involved in the alleged sale and purchase of positions.

This was conveyed by the Investigation Team formed by the Governor of Central Sulawesi regarding the issue of abuse of authority in the inauguration on April 28, 2022.

"We from the team have examined approximately 28 witnesses who are suspected of knowing. The results of the examination, there were 6 people who were declared to have committed violations," said Head of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Inspectorate M Muchlis as reported by Antara, Friday, June 10.

Muchlis, who is also the deputy head of the investigation, declined to name the officials. He only confirmed that the six people included two officials from echelon II, two people from echelon III and two people from echelon IV.

"We can't name names. From echelon II two people, two people from echelon III and two people from echelon IV," he explained.

The investigation team has recommended sanctions for the six convicted persons to the Governor of Central Sulawesi.

"There are four severe sanctions, one medium sanction and one light sanction. Heavy sanctions are in the form of demotion and non-job, moderate sanctions are given with work allowances and light sanctions in the form of written warnings," he explained.

As previously reported, the Governor of Central Sulawesi Rusdy Mastura formed an investigation team related to the alleged sale and purchase of positions within the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government.

The Investigation Team involved the Provincial Inspectorate, Regional Secretary, and authorized officials.

"The goal is to immediately answer things that develop and can interfere with the vision and mission of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government when carrying out bureaucratic reform," explained Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura.

According to him, the investigative team is working fast. Anyone found and proven to be involved in the alleged sale and purchase of the position will be dealt with firmly.
