KH Dimyati Rois Dies, PKB Chairman Orders Cadres To Pray Magical Prayers And Raise The Flag At Half Mast

JAKARTA - The chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) DPP Shura Council as well as Mustasyar of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, KH Dimyati Rois, or familiarly called Abah Dim, died on Friday, June 10, in the early hours of the morning.

The sad news was conveyed by the PKB DPP via uploads to the official Instagram account @dpp_pkb.

"Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun. The big family of the National Awakening Party expresses its condolences for the death of KH. Dimyati Rois (Chairman of the PKB DPP Shura Council and Mustasyar PBNU) on Friday 10 June 2022," the caption read.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the PKB Muhaimin Iskandar also conveyed the sad news of the death of Abah Dim. The man who is familiarly called Cak Imin also ordered PKB cadres to hold supernatural and tahlilan prayers according to PBNU culture.

"The cadres must pray occult and tahlilan," said Cak Imin through his personal Instagram account @cakiminow, Friday, June 10. Cak Imin also ordered the PKB flag to be flown at half mast.

"The PKB flag is at half-mast," he said.

Quoted from the official website nu.or.id, it was announced that Abah Dim died at Tlogorejo Hospital, Semarang, Central Java, at 01.13 WIB.

As is known, KH Dimyati Rois is the caretaker of the Al Fadlu wal Fadhilah Jagalan Islamic Boarding School, Kaliwungu, Kendal, Central Java.

Dimyati was born in Bulakamba, Brebes, on June 5, 1945. During his life, he studied at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri, East Java.

At the 34th NU Congress in Lampung in 2021, the cleric who is familiarly called Abah Dim was chosen as a member of Ahlul Halli wal Aqdi (AHWA).

Abah Dim together with eight kiai who are members of AHWA then decided KH Miftachul Akhyar as Rais Aam PBNU for the period 2021-2026.
