MEDAN - Dozens of administrators of Javanese community organizations in Medan City gathered at the winning office of Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi (Aman). They provide support to candidate pair number one in the Medan Pilkada.

There were 15 representatives of the Medan City Javanese community who attended the meeting, including, Pujakusuma, Semar Nusantara, Pagar Jati, Jawa Nusantara Bersatu, Task Force Joko Tingkir, Sekar Mirah, Pandawa and Singa Peta.

Apart from providing support for Aman, the community administrators also built a spirit of reuniting the Javanese community in the city of Medan. If these strengths can be combined, they believe, the Javanese community can become one of the important forces in building this city.

"Why not, of the 2.3 million inhabitants of Medan City, around 33 percent are citizens of Javanese descent. This is a force that cannot be underestimated, ”said Juni Iskandar, the administrator of the Medan City Arek-arek Association (Pagar Jati) in a written statement, Friday, October 23.

According to him, it would be very unfortunate if the Javanese community was not united, so that it could easily be divided. Especially if there is an offer and a lure from certain parties, the community is easily divided into several groups.

Initially, according to Juni Iskandar, the Javanese community in Medan City appeared solidly united in a fairly compact forum. However, along with the many political interests and the temptation of money, the organization split, so that at present, there are at least more than 20 organizations acting on behalf of the Javanese ethnic community in Medan and North Sematera.

Because of the dissonant power, the support and influence of Javanese ethnicity in the development of Medan City seemed very resonant.

"We hope that this strength can be brought back together. I really hope that Pak Akhyar Nasution can unite the Javanese in Medan, because I know him very well, he is very close to Javanese ethnicity, "said Juni.

As a Javanese who has lived in Medan for a long time, Juni admitted that he had known Akhyar Nasution for a long time.

"I know that Pak Akhyar's mother and grandmother are originally Javanese. She is also very fluent in Javanese. Therefore, I really hope that Beliu can unite the Javanese in the city of Medan so they will not be divided again," he added.

Juni was determined to bring all Javanese who take shelter under Pagar Jati Kota Medan to support Akhyar-Salman in the elections in December.

The same thing was conveyed by Rusdi Suharsono, a representative from Pujakusuma (a Javanese born in Sumatra) who claimed to have known Akhyar for a long time. Even Rusdi was also Akhyar's friend when he was still a politician in the PDI-P.

"When Pak Akhyar declared himself leaving the PDIP, I also left, because I knew very well about the injustice he had experienced in that party. In this Pilkada, I will bring the Pujakusuma carriage to support Pak Akhyar, ”said Rusdi, who was previously registered as a branch administrator and chairman of the PDIP Rating for the Medan Perjuangan District.

At the meeting at AMAN's Winning Headquarters, the representatives of the Javanese community were received by the Chairman of the Winning Team Ibrahim Tarigan and the Chair of the Medan City Democratic Party Burhanuddin Sitepu.

In their presentation, Burhanuddin and Ibrahim Tarigan strongly agree that the Medan City Pilkada is used as a moment to reunite the divided Javanese community in this city.

"I make sure that Pak Akhyar pays great attention to the Javanese in this city because he is of Javanese blood. Therefore, we are grateful, the Javanese of Medan City want to support him, "said Burhanuddin.

Burhanuddin fully understands the issue of divisions in society, because the same cases often occur in other ethnic communities.

However, he asked that the split not drag on. For the common interest, the Javanese ethnicity in Medan City should reunite to support Akhyar and Salman in Pikada Medan.

Burhanuddin also strongly supports the idea of forming a United Java Alliance community in Medan City in order to reunite Javanese people in a larger community.
