To Make Fishermen's Wives Productive, Bobby Nasution Supports BPPP Community Development In Belawan

MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution supports the Medan Fisheries Training and Extension Center (BPPP) to develop the competence of coastal communities, especially the wives of fishermen in Belawan.

"We support what the Medan BPPP will do. But we both know what the condition of our people in the coastal areas is like," Bobby said in Medan as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 8.

This he conveyed after receiving the ranks of the Medan BPPP who said that in the near future he would develop coastal communities in the form of competency training at the Medan City Hall.

Therefore, Bobby Nasution continued, his party hopes that it is not only related to livelihoods, but Medan BPPP together with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) also help the Medan City Government fix coastal areas.

Moreover, in the explanation from BPPP Medan, the Bagan Deli Village, Medan Belawan, was the location for the declaration of an advanced fishing village and the starting point for the program by the center at the KKP.

"If possible, the program and assistance will be provided more comprehensively. Because we are also trying to deal with the problem of tidal flooding, and provide assistance for fishermen's wives," explained Bobby.

Head of BPPP Medan, Natalia, said that her party would run a coastal community development program, specifically for the wives of coastal fishermen.

He said this activity aims to encourage fishermen's wives in Bagan Deli Village to improve the family's economy through competency training in fish processing.

"Regarding what the guardian said earlier, we will convey it to the leadership. Hopefully the existing programs can be synchronized," he said.
