Middle-aged Woman Killed By The Argo Bromo Train, Residents Help Evacuate The Victim's Body Debris

JAKARTA - A woman was found dead when she was hit by a long-distance high-speed train on the Pondok Kopi railroad track, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 8, at around 10.00 WIB.

According to Hermansyah, one of the eyewitnesses of the incident, he had warned and shouted at the victim not to cross the train tracks before the incident. However, the screams did not reach the victim because they were far enough away.

"Not long ago, the Argo Bromo train came across and hit the middle-aged woman. The victim's body was dragged 500 meters from the initial location," he told police officers at the location, Wednesday, June 8.

As a result of the accident, the victim's body crushed to pieces. Officers and residents evacuated the victim's body fragments into 4 plastic bags. The victim's body was then taken to the RSCM for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Duren Sawit Police, Kompol Marbun, said that his party was still asking for information from a number of witnesses related to the incident.

"We are also still looking for the victim's family," he said.
