The Perpetrator Of The Abuse Of A 17-Year-Old Girl Successfully Arrested At The Tanjung Priok Regional Logistics Office

LEBAK - The Lebak Police Satreskrim has named AK (23) as a suspect in the sexual abuse case of a 17-year-old woman in Bojongmanik District, Lebak Regency, Banten. The perpetrator was arrested at one of the logistics offices in the Tanjung Priok area, North Jakarta.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Lebak Resort Police, AKP Indik Rusmono, explained the chronology of the incident. Indik said, initially the perpetrator and two of his friends visited the victim's house in Leuwidamar District.

"Then without the knowledge of his friend, the perpetrator asked the victim to buy food," said Indik in a written statement, Monday, June 6.

But on the way, continued Indik, the perpetrator stopped at a quiet place, namely in a bamboo garden. That's where the perpetrator suddenly pulled the victim's hand into the bushes.

“The victim fell and continued to be dragged by the perpetrator who was trying to rape. However, the victim fought back by biting the perpetrator's hand so the victim could escape," he explained.

Indik said, after the victim managed to escape, he and his family immediately reported it to the police.

"After receiving the report, officers conducted an investigation and succeeded in arresting the perpetrator at the logistics company office in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta," added Indik.

For his actions, the perpetrators will be subject to Article 76E in conjunction with Article 82 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, with a threat of 15 years in prison and a minimum of 5 years in prison.
