Receives IDR 232 Billion Allotment, Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture Proposes To Add IDR 50 Billion To The 2023 Budget

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy proposed an additional budget of IDR 50 billion to strengthen the Policy Implementation Coordination Program and Management Support Program.

"This proposal was previously discussed at the 'trilateral meeting' of the indicative ceiling between the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Bappenas and the Ministry of Finance on 18 May 2022," said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday 6 June.

The statement was made after a meeting with the Coordinating Ministers and the DPR-RI Budget Board to discuss the work plan and budget in the indicative ceiling of 2023 at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta.

He explained that the trilateral meeting or meeting of the three parties is a forum to increase synergy and consolidate development priority plans which will be outlined in the Government Work Plan (RKP).

Muhadjir explained that the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture's budget ceiling for 2023 was Rp.232,287,481,000 (Rp232.29 billion).

Meanwhile, the budget posture consists of two programs, namely 27.44 percent or Rp. 63.75 billion which is allocated for the Policy Implementation Coordination Program.

Meanwhile, 72.56 percent or Rp. 168.54 billion, he said, was for the Management Support Program.

"Thus, the total addition to the entire budget from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture for the 2023 fiscal year is more than IDR 282 billion, or IDR 282,287,481,000," he said.

Meanwhile, in a joint meeting with the Coordinating Ministers and the DPR-RI Budget Agency, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto proposed an additional budget of Rp. 82.2 billion for the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Polhukam) Mahfud MD proposed an additional 2023 budget of IDR 24.3 billion.

Meanwhile, in a written statement from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, it was found that the Chairman of the Budget Agency, Said Abdullah, tapped the hammer to signify his approval of all the proposed additions to the budget ceiling after previously obtaining approval from all members of the council.

Said Abdullah said that the Budget Agency approved the addition of the budget, so that the coordinating ministers did not have to come again after reading the financial notes.

"Because the requests are not many, the work is the most. The Budget Agency guarantees to fulfill your proposals, gentlemen," said Said.
