COVID-19 Update As Of June 6th: 342 New Cases, 270 Healed More

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 68,055 specimens were examined with the results of 342 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,057,142 and active cases have increased by 65 to 3,498 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, June 6.

The number of recovered cases today increased by 270 people, bringing the total to 5,897,022 recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 cases and totaled 156,622 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 147 cases and a total of 1,251,726 cases. Followed by West Java with 52 new cases with a total of 1,106,931 cases. Banten with 47 new cases and a total of 293,415 cases. East Java with 23 new cases and a total of 576,472 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 103 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 57 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 40 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 26 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 99,102,309.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.77 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 2,052 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 200,490,260 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,730,074 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 46,619,169. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
