A Teenager Gang Persecuting Students In Cempaka Putih With A Revenge, A Friend Of The Perpetrator Was Abused By The Victim

JAKARTA - The perpetrator of the beating against a student of SMK Kampung Rawa on Jalan Mardani, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, which had gone viral on social media, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cempaka Putih Police. At least 8 students of SMK 34 Kramat Raya were arrested by the police.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Gunarto confirmed the arrests of the perpetrators of the beating in the Cempaka Putih area.

"Yes, that's right, a student has been arrested for mistreating fellow students by the Cempaka Putih Sector Police, for more details, you can directly ask the Cempaka Putih Police Chief," said Kasat when confirmed by VOI, Monday, June 6.

While contacted separately, the Head of the Cempaka Putih Police, Kompol Bernard Saragih, said that the perpetrators of the beatings were generally still in class 1 of Vocational High School (SMK). They have the initials M, R, D, L, M, M, Y and R.

"After we investigated, we found out that one of the perpetrators was one of the perpetrators and then we went to his house. We asked that the person in question admitted to his actions. Then we asked the colleague in question to turn himself in, accompanied by his parents," he explained.

The police also confiscated evidence of the iron ruler used to persecute the victim.

"They are persecuting them out of revenge. Previously, a friend of theirs was beaten and they took revenge," he said.

The eight SMK students were subject to Article 76 c junto Article 80 paragraph 2 and RI Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning child protection with a threat of 5 years in prison.

Previously, it was reported that Muhammad Kahfi (17), a student of SMK Jawa Village, became a victim of abuse against other students on Jalan Mardani, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, last Wednesday, June 1.

The incident started when the victim was about to take his friend home, but 10 other students stopped him. The victim fell, and was beaten with an iron ruler until he suffered a laceration to the head.
