Just Arriving At The Training Ground, Hundreds Of Ukrainian Foreign Mercenaries Killed By Russian Long Range Weapons

JAKARTA - Ukrainian troops managed to kill hundreds of foreign mercenaries who had just arrived at the training ground, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said Thursday.

"Hundreds of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine were annihilated by Russian long-range precision weapons, as soon as they arrived at the training grounds and unit tactical units," Major General Konashenkov said, as reported by TASS June 2.

He further explained, most of the foreign mercenaries were eliminated in the battle area, due to their low level of preparedness and lack of real combat experience.

According to Major General Konashenkov, the commanders of the Ukrainian army and National Guard units 'allowed' the mercenaries to reduce losses among their own troops.

"The captured mercenaries said that during the interrogation, they were sacrificed in the first place. When the Kyiv regime covered the losses and the bodies were not there, the relatives of the mercenaries in their country of residence were completely unaware of their deaths," he explained.

He added that the number of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine had decreased since early May, with an estimate of nearly half, the current number being around 3,500 troops.

"We see that the influx of foreign mercenaries into Ukraine to fight against the Russian Armed Forces has actually decreased since the beginning of May. According to the data available to us, the number of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine has actually decreased from 6,600 to 3,500," he explained.

"The number of mercenaries in the fighting formations of the Ukrainian army and the National Guard in Donbas has dropped dramatically," the general concluded.
