When It Went Viral In Semarang, The Motive Of These 6 Youths Assaulted 2 People At A Gas Station, Apparently It Was Triggered By Women's Problems

SEMARANG - Polrestabes Semarang, Central Java, arrested six young men who beat two people with women's backgrounds.

The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Semarang Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan explained that the case occurred around Jalan Indraprasta, Semarang City, on May 29, 2022 and was caught on a CCTV camera and went viral on social media.

"After receiving the report, we have arrested six perpetrators, and one other perpetrator is still being sought," he said in Semarang, Antara, Thursday, June 2.

The six arrested perpetrators were AWK (22), SSA (21), DRP (20), SAM (19), RDP (19), and RV (19), all of whom are residents of North Semarang District, Semarang City.

He said that the beatings against RRF and BS began when the two visited the Jalan Indraprasta gas station after receiving a message from a woman.

One of the perpetrators who is the older sister, he said, admitted that he did not accept the victim asking his sister out on a date.

"The perpetrator was allegedly offended and agreed to lure the victim to come to the Indraprasta gas station," he said.

When the two victims were in the vicinity of the Jalan Indraprasta gas station, the perpetrators immediately ganged up on them.

The police who received reports from the two victims then carried out an investigation to secure the six perpetrators. For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding beatings.
