PAN Founder Compares Other Countries To Prevent Corruption With Heavy Laws For Corruptors While KPK's Efforts To Create A New Anti-Corruption Vest

JAKARTA - One of the founders of PAN, Abdillah Toha, satirized the KPK's actions to introduce a new blue rombi as a symbol of warding off corruption.

The vest was introduced at the end of the anti-corruption briefing technical guidance event from the KPK to the ranks of PT PLN on Tuesday, May 31. Abdillah Toha admitted that he was surprised by the current way of thinking of the KPK.

"Amazed by the creativity of the KPK. Other countries cannot think that far," the political observer quipped, quoted from his Twitter account, @AT_AbdillahToha, Thursday 2 May.

According to the 2009-2014 Vice President's Advisor on Strategy Review, the KPK now has a different anti-corruption effort compared to other countries.

"They prevent corruption by improving the surveillance system and severely punishing corruptors. We make a new vest. Genius," said Abdillah Toha.

The KPK was previously identical with the orange vest that was often worn by KPK suspects. Orange vests are attached to prisoners who are involved in corrupt practices.

Meanwhile, the KPK's new vest is now blue. When introduced, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, called the vest an antidote to the orange vest.

"It's better if we use the orange vest as an antidote. That's the important thing. Hopefully it will be like a raincoat. The raincoat is made from an orange vest," said Ghufron during technical guidance with PLN.
