JAKARTA - The Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Nana Sudjana, met a crowd from the Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) and workers who held a demonstration against the Job Creation Law in the Horse Statue area.

Nana met the mass of the demonstration with the Head of Criminal and Criminal Investigation Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman and his staff.

Inspector General Nana is grateful that today's demonstration went orderly. Unlike the previous action which resulted in a riot.

"Thank God that until now the demonstration has been running in an orderly manner. We, from the officers, namely the TNI and Polri, have served, guarded and secured this demonstration," said Inspector General Nana at the Horse Statue area, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 20.

Even so, Nana still reminded the protesters to remain vigilant of the infiltrators. Because, if that happens it is believed that chaos will occur. He also asked the protesters not to be provoked or provoked.

"In order to anticipate, do not let the action be carried out on board or boarded by anti-establishment groups," said Nana.

Inspector General Nana explained, to secure this action 20 thousand joint personnel from the TNI-Polri and DKI Regional Government were alerted. Meanwhile, from the mass action, he said, there were an estimated 400 students and 1,750 workers.

According to Nana, only half of the 20 personnel were deployed. The rest will only be deployed when this action shows signs of chaos.

"We are also preparing reserves of around 5,000 to 6,000 from the TNI and Polri," he said.

The police had previously combed people who were not related to the demonstration in anticipation of intruders. The crowd, mostly teenagers, were prevented from entering the demonstration site at the Horse Statue.

At Monas, the police checked the demonstrators' belongings. One by one the students were checked in their bags to avoid dangerous items when voicing their aspirations.

Today's demonstration was escorted by 20 thousand joint TNI / Polri and Jakarta Provincial Government personnel.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that all 20 thousand personnel were not immediately deployed to the field. Only 10 personnel were deployed.

"We have prepared around 10,587 personnel (who are already in the field) today," Yusri told reporters, Tuesday, October 20.

Meanwhile, the rest will only be lowered if there is an increase in the mass of the action or there is chaos at this time.
