Ridwan Kamil Extends Leave For A Week To Monitor The Search For His Son Eril, Asks For Prayers From Residents, Kiai And Santri

BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil has proposed an extension of his leave for a week so that he can be in Switzerland to monitor efforts to find his son who was swept away by the current of the Aare River, Emmerill Khan Mumtadz or Eril.

"The governor will add another week's leave for the next week to be in Switzerland, so if he is in the incident area waiting for him is a bit calmer, it's different when he comes home," said Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum as quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 29.

Uu hopes that the residents of West Java will understand and not question the extension of the leave proposed by the Governor.

"I ask for public understanding, if the Governor is still abroad, it will not be a problem regarding performance, because in the province there are officials. I am the Plh. After all, I communicate with the Governor without any problems," he said.

Until last Saturday, the search team in Switzerland had not found any clues about the whereabouts of Eril, who was swept away while swimming in the Aare River in the city of Bern, Switzerland.

Uu said that until this morning he also had not received any new information regarding the progress of the search for Eril. "Still like yesterday. I can't answer yet because I updated yesterday," he said.

Uu said that Ridwan Kamil expected prayers from residents and religious leaders for the safety of his first child.

"I WhatsApp him yesterday. He asked for prayers from the people of West Java, especially the kiai and students," he said.
